After meeting Jim while working at a local vet's office, I oftern heard him talking about how intelligent, loyal and outstanding his dog's were. I thought to myself he was like a proud father bragging about his chilsren, I never really thouthe too much about it. I have owned many breeds of dog's myself and have been aroutn many breed's while working at the vet's office for twelve years. Well' tp make a long story short, a few months ago I working for Jim. Now I see what Jim was talking about so many times. The Anatolian Shepherd is by far the most intelligen, loyal dog I have ever been around been around. Ever-day they never cease to amaze me with their intelligence and understanding of what you want them to do. This also includes the young puppies I help care for with worming, bath's, shot's and all the other choirs involved with a young litter, they take everything in stride without complaining or getting upset. They accept everything you do to them just as well as they accept their food when you bring it in. Not only are they smart and loyal but beautiful also. They have changed my mind about breed's of dog's and if any-one is thinking about adding a new member to their family the Anatolian Shepherd is a GREAT breed to get! You and your Family will be very happy with this outstanding breed!!

A few years ago I was looking into different breeds of that I was considering to add to my family. I attended a dog show in my area and from across the room made eye contact with an Anatolian Shepherd Dog. I was so taken by the look in it's eyes. It was very magnetic. I could not get that dog out of my head for the rest of the day. When I got home I went online and started researching the breed. Everything I read about the breed made me fall in love with them. They are everything I had ever looked for in a dog. After researching everything I could on the breed I make a dicision that i was the breed for me. I contacted Jim Simmons of Clear Creek's Anatolian Kennel in Attalla,AL. I was nervous that I didn't have what it took to own one and was scared of being turned down. To my surprise Jim approved me to own one of his wonderful puppies after we corresponded back and forth for awhile.
A few months later I drove to his kennel to pick up my very first Anatolian puppy which I named "Raven". Jim and his wife Fay make us feel right at home and welcomed. When Jim placed Raven in my arms for the first time, I was in love. She was the most precious pup in the world. We stayed and visited with Jim and Fay for a bit before we had to turn around and head for home. We met many of Jim's dogs while we were there and all of them were so nice. The beauty and temperaments of his Anatolians were outstanding.
When I got home Raven spoiled me by being a very laik back and very well behaved puppy. I just couldn't get enough of her. She definately is one of a kind. The beauty of her and the loving way she looks at us and her temperament are beyond belief. She gives the best Raven hugs in the world. I knew this was it for me. I was stuck on the Anatolian Shepherds for life. So a year later I called Jim up again and brought home my second girl "Kazara". She was a little bit of a challange as she grew and went through her puppy stages but now is a big sweetheart and very, very lovable. Another year and a half had gone by and I just recently brought home two more adorable puppies form Jim. A girl names "Pasa" and a male named "Tayyar"
. Already these new pups are very loving and well behaved. I have no doubts that they will grow into two more big babies with lots of love to give. They are by far the best breed I've ever owned. They are wonderful companions as well as guardians. They bring so much joy and not a day goes by where you can't laugh at something one of them does. Owning this breed has taught me so much about life and about myself.
Every time we had visited with Jim and Fay they always made us feel welcome and at home. Over the past three years I've visited with Jim I've come in contact with many of his dogs and they ar all very impressive and have great temperaments. Jim really loves his dogs and cares for them and their well being. It has been such a joy over the past few years owning some of these wonderful dogs and that's all thanks to Jim and Fay for their breeding and dedication to these magnificent dogs.
I would like to thank Jim and Fay for having the faith in me fo give these wonderful dogs a good and loving home for giving me the opportunity to have them in my life. Jim and Fay are part of my extended family and always will be. Thanks to Clear Creek's Anatolian Kennel my life has forever been changed.

Almost a year has elapsed since becoming custodial parents to our first Anatolian, Violet. We just brought home our two new little girls, Grace and Ella, and we couldn't be happier with our growing family. We are totally enamored and dedicated to this breed. The Anatolians we have known have each had their own distinct personality yet they share some common characteristics that are especially endearing. Anatolians are very intelligent, curious, loving, playful, and humorous. We know that they have strong credentials as guard dogs but to us they are special members of our family. We can't imagine our life without these magnificent pets. Anyone that is searching for a large breed dog with a calm demeanor and a loving attitude can be assured that Anatolians will return as least as much love and devotion as they receive.

When we bought our first two Anatolian Dogs almost eight years ago, people would ask us, "Who's taking care of the goats?" We would answer, "The dogs are in charge!" They tended the flock with very little help or interference from us. They are magnificent animals. Their intelligence and instinct about what is needed is remarkable. The stories we can tell are endless. I'm sure we bore our friends constantly with "dogs, goats, and predator" stories. The two Anatolians we have from Simmons' Clear Creek Ranch-Rambeau and Valintine-are the best.

Our experience with the Anatolian Shepherd started a year and a half ago. We were very excited and nervous when we got Linus. We educated ourselfs as well we could, but we were still nervous because of everything that we had read about this breed. Linus had a personality of his own the first day he arrived. In the beginning he was scared and skeptical of Gred and I. I remember telling Greg, "He doesn't like us." We would put him in the bed with us and he would instantly climb out to sleep on the floor. He had had a bit of an attitude and wh would growl whenever we'd put him in his kennel for snapping. At first we were like, what did we get ourselves into. we called Jim many times in a panic. He would give us advice and encourage us not to lose faith. When we were at obedience classes he would get snippy if he didn't want to do something, but he was so intelligent!!! He knew all of the tricks the first week of class. We was the star, and everyone adored him. He had 2 accidents in the house before he was house trsined. As time went on he started to become our little buddy. I knew that it was extremely important to socialize Anatolians from the beginning so he was around children and pets from day one. We would smothered him with affection and love every chance we would get. We would kiss him, hug him, talk to him and play with him. All of a sudden Linus decided that we weren't so bad and he actually kind of liked us. By the time he was eight months old he turned into a "Sweethart." He is now a softy. He has nothing but kindness and love in his eyes. I would trust him alone with any child or animal. He goes to Doggy Daycare whenever we go out of town and they adore him there. He is known as the "Gentle Giant." Linus is the "favorite dog there". He can play with the biggest dogs, but he can just as easily play with the toy poodles. He will lie down to play with the smaller dogs. He'll also do that for small children. If Linus senses that a child is afraid of him he will lie down so that they won't get scared. To us Linus is not a dog he is a member of our family. He is intelligent and he has a personality of his own. He makes us laugh daily. He always brings a smile to my face whenever I think about him. He truly has been a blessing in our lives. If I could use one word to describe this breed it would be LOYAL. It takes a little bit of time to develop that connection, but it is a much stronger friendship in the end. They'll always give you more love than you could ever possibly give them. We would like to thank Clear Creek's Kennel for breeding such strong, beautiful, and Sophisticated dogs. We are grateful for your trust in us to be the owners of such a wonderful creature.

About two years ago, I sat with my daughter and searched the Internet for a puppy to become part of our family. We went from A to Z in the listings of breeds and agreed that the Anatolian Shepherd was the breed for us. We were looking for a breed that is known to be a good guardian, but also family oriented and good with children. We loved the look and description of the Anatolian and so we searched the web for a breeder we could believe had the continuation of the breed's growth in mind, and who could spend time with us to ensure we were making the right decision. Then we found Simmons Clear Creek Ranch's "Kennel". Today, we have Sekerlit (which is Turkish for "sugar" bowl). She is now 18 months old and has become more than any of us could have ever imagined. She is distinguished, athletic and affectionate. As my husband says, "an affectionate watch dog". But his favorite expression is "Royal". She is the protector of the neighborhood children and holds the record for the best time of all the neighborhood dogs when it comes to keeping up with the kids as they sled down the hill in our back yard.
As you learn to know the Anatolian, you understand what makes this breed so special. We have met other families with Anatolians and while we have become biased to the breed, we have also become biased to Simmons Clear Creek Ranch's "Kennel". Jim and Fay have the best interest of the breed in mind and are thoughtful in their decisions to which Anatolians they breed and how often mating should occur. This exceptional caring has carried on to our lives today -- so much so that we are planning to give a dear family we know an Anatolian puppy as a house-warming gift from Jim and Fay's next litter. We are so looking forward to the arrival of the puppies and the big question from my husband is, "Are you going to get another female or a male this time". How are we going to visit Simmons Clear Creek Ranch's "Kennel" and not add another brave, curious, humorous, noble Anatolian
to our family? My goodness, I surely don't know
---so keep watching this website and let's see what happens.
